Once again Cadillac fielded six models:


  1. Model 37-60 (V-8 engine)
  2. Model 37-65 (V-8 engine)
  3. Model 37-70 (V-8 engine)
  4. Model 37-75 (V-8 engine)
  5. Model 37-85 (V-12 engine)
  6. Model 37-90 (V-16 engine)
  • The series 37-60, 37-65, 37-70, 37-75 were all eight cylinder cars.
  • The 37-85 was the same as the 37-75 except now it had twelve cylinders.
  • The series 80 of 1936 was dropped this year.
  • Also the 37-90 (with 16 cylinders) was essentially the same as the 36-90 of 1936.
  • In fact, this was the last year for this overhead valve V-16 engine and body with its 3912mm wheelbase.
  • Next year, the sixteen cylinder power plant would be an L-head shoehorned into the series 75 on a 3581mm wheelbase.
